Vin Diesel wants to reconcile with ‘The Rock’ Dwayne Johnson

At the recent 2025 Golden Globe Awards, Vin Diesel secretly reconciled with his ‘Fast & Furious’ co-star, ‘The Rock’ Dwayne Johnson.
Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson are co-stars in the blockbuster Fast and Furious movie series. However, the two had a conflict nearly a decade ago. At the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, the two stars had the opportunity to reunite when Vin Diesel honored this former wrestler on stage.

When stepping onto the podium to present the Film and Box Office Achievement Award, Vin Diesel looked towards his old friend and said cordially: “Hey, Dwayne”. “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson seemed interested in being mentioned, the actor smiled in response and nodded slightly.

The duo’s feud began in 2016 while they were filming The Fate Of The Furious, the eighth installment in the Fast & Furious franchise. At the time, Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram and called some of his male co-stars “chickens” and “assholes.” While “The Rock” didn’t mention any names, he later confirmed that he had issues with Vin Diesel during filming.

As for Vin Diesel, he seemed to try to maintain a civil relationship with Dwayne Johnson, praising the hulking actor’s performance in the series and even publicly calling for the Moana star to return in Fast X.

“As you know, my kids call you Uncle Dwayne. Not a holiday goes by that they don’t send you well wishes,” Vin Diesel wrote on Instagram in November 2021, adding that he had promised his late co-star Paul Walker that the series would have a 10th installment: “I say this out of love but you have to come out, don’t let this franchise lie dormant, you have a very important role to play.”

But Dwayne Johnson called Vin Diesel’s message “an example of manipulation,” telling CNN in December 2021: “I don’t like the fact that he’s bringing his kids into this story, and Paul Walker’s death. Keep them out of this.”
