According to “InTouch,” court documents indicate that Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, a Michigan inmate suing Diddy for $400 million, is planning to bring Jennifer Lopez on as a witness.
Cardello-Smith, who is in custody, alleges that he attended a party hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs in 1997, where he was offered a drug-laced drink that left him unconscious.
Cardello-Smith claims that he was later sexually assaulted and accuses the “music mogul” of covering up the case when he initially tried to file a complaint. Although Jennifer Lopez has stayed away from lawsuits against her ex-boyfriend, Cardello-Smith reportedly believes the singer may have known about the incident.
Widely known as “Jenny from the Block,” Jennifer Lopez was romantically linked to Sean “Diddy” Combs in the late 1990s, a period that coincided with the alleged assault.
The possibility of Jennifer Lopez being called to testify has not been confirmed, but the singer’s association with Sean “Diddy” Combs at the time of the alleged assault could make her a person of interest in the case.
